We recently completed another high quality solar installation for a homeowner in Bootle, taking the project from initial survey through to final installation in less than three weeks. The customer wanted a clean looking, high performance solar and battery system that would also integrate with their existing EV charger.
Our team delivered a fully tailored installation with concealed cabling, smart monitoring, and long term aftercare included. With a total system size of over 8kW of solar generation, the homeowner can now significantly reduce grid dependency while storing excess solar energy for evening use and EV charging.
The solar system installed
This installation paired a generous rooftop array with Sigenergy’s inverter and battery platform, chosen so that every part of the system speaks the same language and reports into one place.
Smart EV charger integration with Shelly
One of the main priorities for this customer was ensuring all energy usage could be monitored together in a single app. To achieve this, we installed new cabling for the existing EV charger and integrated it into the Sigenergy app using a Shelly smart device.
Once configured, the homeowner can view solar production, battery usage, household consumption and EV charging all from one platform. This creates a much smarter and easier to manage energy setup without the need for multiple apps or disconnected systems.
Clean cable management & professional finish
The property had a slightly awkward meter position, meaning cable routing needed careful planning to keep the finish tidy. Our engineers ran all external cabling discreetly behind the fencing in conduit, keeping visual impact to a minimum while protecting the cabling and maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
To finish the installation properly, bird mesh protection was also fitted around the solar panels to help prevent nesting and debris build up beneath the array.
Free solar maintenance included
As part of this solar and battery installation, the customer also received a free year of our maintenance programme. In 12 months’ time we’ll return to inspect the system, check electrical connections, review battery health and confirm the monitoring and app are working as they should. We believe ongoing aftercare is just as important as the installation itself.
